Sustainability

A responsible approach to energy, the environment, and society is at the foundation of our strategy.

Our Commitment

Energy With Regard for Future Generations

At BioEner Slovakia, we believe that sustainable development and economic growth are not contradictions. Our infrastructure - a photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 23,975 MW and battery storage systems with a capacity of 12.4 MW - is designed to minimize environmental impact while delivering value for investors, partners, and the community.

We view sustainability as an integral part of our business strategy, not as an add-on activity.

ESG Pillars

Three Pillars of Sustainability

Our sustainability strategy is built on three interconnected pillars.

Environmental

Clean energy generation from renewable sources, CO2 emissions reduction, support for industrial decarbonization. Our PV plant and BESS directly contribute to reducing the carbon footprint.

Social

Creating jobs in the region, supporting the local economy, transparent communication with the community and stakeholders.

Governance

Transparent company management, compliance with regulatory requirements, ethical business practices, and responsible decision-making at all levels.

European Legislation

Sustainability Reporting Under EU Directives

The European Union has postponed sustainability reporting obligations for medium-sized enterprises from 2025 to 2027. In Slovakia, this also applies to companies in the energy sector.

At BioEner Slovakia, we are preparing for these obligations today. Sustainability is not just a regulatory requirement - it is a strategic opportunity to increase credibility with investors and partners.

Energy Hub for Data Center

The Sturovo Industrial Park is building a comprehensive energy ecosystem with 100 MW+ capacity designed to power a data center running on renewable sources. The combination of our own photovoltaic power plant, battery storage systems, and planned expansion creates a unique energy platform in Central Europe.
